A poem, the first in 7yrs

I know that if I lean in close

shift my eyes to see the most

Those new things that I could not see

Suddenly say, hey! Look at me!

They say snowflakes are all different

But sometimes I can’t tell the difference

I want to look off in the distance

Distract myself from this resistance

But if I lose my presence, I know I know I’ll miss it

Lose myself, I won’t go the distance.
